We have had such fun over the last 6 weeks in our games club. We have played and some of us mastered Monopoly, Pontoon (making 21), Chess, Connect 4, Uno and Top Trumps. Please play these games at home with your child.
On Tuesday we enjoyed our Sparklers and Stories evening. The children shared stories with their parents and enjoyed hot chocolate and sparklers.
In Year 1 we decided to cheer the Gruffalo up by making him a feast of his favourite foods. We made Roasted Fox (sweet potato chips), Purple Prickles Pancake (blueberry pancakes) and Terrible Tusks (fruit kebab). What a busy week – and it’s only Tuesday! So far this week we have created our own hutch for the rabbits using junk modelling, mixed paint, created our own stage to perform on and even made our own cement to fix the holes in the wall!! Mr Roy will be pleased.
We explored our sense taste today. The children were able to tell us which foods tasted sweet, sour, bitter and salty. The lemon was the least favourite!
We have been on the hunt for numbers to 20. Some of the numbers were missing and the children wrote the numbers with chalk and multi-represented them using leaves, feathers and grass.
